SKM Art Advising is the exclusive broker for Rebecca Jewell’s work in Texas. Rebecca Jewell is a printmaker and collage artist who splits her time between London and Cambridge. Her intricate drawings of artefacts, bird specimens, and her unique feather collages, are inspired both by natural history, and by issues around the contemporary hunting and trapping of birds. She creates her works using a technique that she has perfected over her career using an etching press to print directly onto bird feathers. Feathers are sourced from Rebecca’s own doves, or white goose, turkey, and duck feathers acquired from ethically verified suppliers to the millinery trade. The resulting pieces are vibrant and stunning, and would be an asset to any collection or project.

Rebecca has a PhD from the Royal College of Art, and is a faculty member of the Royal Drawing School. She has been Artist in Residence at the British Museum and the American Museum of Natural History, New York, and has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, and now Texas. Rebecca’s work is held in the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, the British Library, the Cambridge Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and the National Maritime Museum, as well as in many private collections.
